By using the Ring Habit website and web habit tracker, you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short, because the service is deliberately simple: a free tool that runs in your browser, with no account and no payment.

What the service is

The web tracker lets you create up to ten daily habits, mark them complete for the current day, and see a habit strength score, a formation stage, a consistency grid, and basic statistics derived from that history. It is free, and there is no paid tier.

The tracker runs entirely in your browser. Once the page has loaded, it needs no connection to work.

What the service is not

• It is not a backup. Your habits are stored in your browser’s local storage on one device. Clearing your browsing data, using private browsing, switching browsers, or replacing your device will lose that history, and we cannot recover it because we never receive it. If your habit history matters to you, do not rely on this tool as its only home.
• It is not health or medical advice. Habit strength scores, formation stages, and any guidance in our articles are general information, not clinical advice. Consult a qualified professional for anything relating to your health.
• It makes no guarantee of results. The habit strength model is a well-documented heuristic based on published habit-formation research, not a prediction about you.

Acceptable use

Use the site for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to the systems that serve it, or use automated means to overload it. Do not use it in any way that breaks the law where you are.

Your content

You keep everything you write in the tracker, in every sense: it stays on your device, and we claim no rights over it. We cannot see it, moderate it, or remove it. Deleting it is entirely under your control.

Availability and changes

The service is provided free, as is, without any warranty. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it, or change these terms, at any time. Because the tracker stores nothing on our side, discontinuing the website would not delete data you already hold locally — but you would lose the tool that reads it, so export or record anything you want to keep.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including loss of habit data stored in your browser. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

The iPhone app

The Ring Habit iPhone app is a separate product governed by Apple’s App Store terms and its own agreement. These terms cover this website only. Habit data created on the web does not transfer to the app.
