Ring Habits: a simple habit tracker app for iPhone

Press and hold a ring to log a habit. Watch your streaks, rewards and habit strength grow. No account, no ads, and your habits stay on your phone.

Free download with 2 habits. Unlock unlimited habits with an optional Premium upgrade. For iPhone and iPad, iOS 17 or later. Available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese.

Everything you need to build a habit, nothing you don’t

Ring Habits keeps each habit to one ring and one gesture. Everything else is there to keep you coming back tomorrow.

Press and hold to complete

Each habit is a ring on your dashboard. Press and hold it for a moment to mark it done. The extra second makes it hard to tick something off by accident and satisfying when you do.

Streaks, stats and habit strength

See your current streak, your completion history and trend charts you can filter by time window and category. Every habit also gets a habit strength score from 0 to 100 and a stage, from Starting to Mastering, so you can see a habit becoming automatic, not just whether you hit today.

Rewards you choose

Set milestone rewards for yourself, such as “3-day streak: treat yourself”, and get a celebration when you reach them. Moving up a habit-strength stage gets its own full-screen celebration too.

Reminders that know how you’re doing

Optional reminders arrive at the time you pick. Ring Habits can also give you a heads-up when a habit is close to its next stage or at risk of slipping back. Mark it done or snooze it straight from the notification.

Daily, weekly, monthly, or specific days

Not every habit is daily. Set “gym 2× per week” and see progress like 1/2 in the list, choose which weekdays count, or log a habit several times a day (“walk the dog 3×”) with a live counter.

Presets and categories

Start from presets for fitness, health, learning and social habits, or create your own. Categories keep a longer list organised.

How Ring Habits works

  1. Pick one habit. Choose a preset or type your own, set how often it counts (daily, weekly, monthly or specific days) and, if you like, a reminder time.
  2. Press and hold when it’s done. One ring, one gesture. Your streak and stats update immediately.
  3. Watch it get stronger. Tap a habit once to open its summary: strength score, stage, and a consistency grid of every day you showed up.
  4. Reward yourself. Hit the milestone you set and celebrate it, then keep the chain going.

Private by design: no account, no sign-up

Ring Habits is local-first. There’s no account to create and no sign-up screen, and your habit titles and content stay on your device. There are no ads in the app either. To improve Ring Habits, the app collects anonymous usage and diagnostics data that isn’t linked to you, as listed in its App Store privacy details.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ring Habits the best habit tracker app for iPhone?
It depends on what you need. Ring Habits is built for people who want a simple, private habit tracker: one ring per habit, press and hold to complete, streaks, rewards and a habit strength score, with no account and no ads. If you need Apple Watch, Apple Health or home screen widgets, Ring Habits doesn’t offer them today.
Is Ring Habits free?
Yes, it’s a free download and you can track 2 habits for free. An optional Premium upgrade unlocks unlimited habits. It’s available monthly, yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase, and the App Store shows the price in your country.
Is there a habit tracker app with widgets or Apple Watch support?
Ring Habits currently has no home screen widgets, Apple Watch app or Apple Health integration. You log habits inside the app with a press and hold, and you can mark a habit done straight from its reminder notification.
Is Ring Habits a simple habit tracker?
That’s the idea. Each habit is a single ring you press and hold to complete. There’s no account to set up, and presets for fitness, health, learning and social habits get you started in seconds.
Can I track weekly or monthly habits, not just daily ones?
Yes. Set a habit to weekly or monthly with a target (for example, gym 2× per week), choose specific weekdays, or log a habit several times a day with a counter.
Do I need an account? Where is my data stored?
No account is needed. Your habits are stored on your device, and there’s no cloud sync of habit data. The app collects anonymous usage and diagnostics data that isn’t linked to your identity.
What’s the difference between the web tracker and the app?
The web tracker is free, runs in your browser and handles up to 10 daily habits. The iPhone app adds reminders, streaks, rewards, categories and weekly, monthly or specific-day habits.
